Dorchester Gas Tank Postcard

$2.00 - $10.00

A clear commute on 93!

A person once asked me "what is this marshmallow character?" That person, obviously, was not from Boston.

This marshmallow is actually my spin on a gigantic, 140-foot tall natural gas storage tank in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston. Highly visible from Interstate 93, it is a beloved local landmark thanks to Sister Corita Kent's bold streaks of color that cover the tank, commonly referred to as The Rainbow Swash.

As a kid we'd drive past and I'd wave at it, now it is waving back.

5.5" x 4.25" printed on 17pt uncoated cardstock.
